1936 Cord 810 Phaeton. Iconic 1936 Cord 810 Phaeton finished in Clay Rust over a tan leather interior. Powered by a 289ci Lycoming V8 paired with Cord’s innovative vacuum-operated four-speed preselector transaxle driving the front wheels. Designed by Gordon Buehrig, the 810 is renowned for its groundbreaking styling, featuring a distinctive coffin-nose grille, concealed door hinges, split windshield, mechanically operated pop-up headlights, fog lights, and a beige convertible top. The interior is trimmed in tan leather and includes dual gloveboxes, roll-up side windows, retractable rear quarter windows, a heater, machine-turned dashboard, full instrumentation, and period-correct Art Deco styling throughout. Additional features include independent front suspension, hydraulic drum brakes, body-color steel wheels with chrome covers, wide whitewall tires, and upgraded LED lighting. A landmark American automobile celebrated for its advanced engineering, front-wheel-drive layout, and one of the most influential designs of the pre-war era.
