The cabriolet-style convertible coupes of the late 1920s typically offered two seats under the top with two more in a rumble seat, while fully enclosed rear-seat convertible phaeton and victoria designs of the early 1930s remained available only to wealthy buyers. Ford changed that in 1936 with its cabriolet convertible, which seated all four passengers under the top and brought luxury within reach at a starting price of $675. This gorgeous and rare (only 4,616 built) 1936 Ford DeLuxe Club Cabriolet is an outstanding example. This lightly restomodded classic has been upgraded for smooth, reliable cruising. Power comes from a refined LT-1 350 V8 paired with a 4L60-E 4-speed automatic with overdrive, feeding a Ford rear end with 3.50 gears. Additional upgrades include a Vega cross-steering box, Super Bell 4" drop axle, front disc brakes, Chassis Engineering sway bar and leaf springs, a Tanks Inc. fuel tank with in-tank pump, 1935 wire wheels, Flaming River steering column, Stewart Warner gauges, Nu-Relics power windows, and Vintage Air A/C.
