This 1949 Mercury Eight Coupe is a custom-built classic that blends vintage styling with modern performance and comfort upgrades. The car underwent an extensive customization process that included a stunning silver re-paint, smoothing of exterior trim, a complete interior overhaul, and significant upgrades to the brakes and suspension. The car rides on custom black powder-coated steel wheels (18” x 8” in the front and 20” x 9” in the rear) made by Detroit Steel Wheel Co., wrapped in Toyo Proxes whitewall tires (225/45R-18 in front and 245/40R-20 in the rear). Suspension and steering components were completely overhauled, including the replacement of ball joints, bushings, and tie rods. KYB shocks were also installed to improve the ride quality, and the front brakes were upgraded to disc brakes for better stopping power, while the rear retains drum brakes.
