The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the ‘Pony Car,’ and this fully restored 1965 GT350 Tribute is a stunning example of that legacy. Built from a 2+2 fastback, this car has serious mechanical upgrades while preserving the classic styling that made the Mustang iconic. The body has been professionally reshot in two-stage Calypso Coral with black stripes, complemented by Shelby-inspired accents including hood, side windows, front apron, rear spoiler, and gas cap. All chrome and stainless pieces are new, and custom door handles complete the top-shelf exterior. Coys ‘C-67’ machined alloys with spinners are mounted on 17-inch Riken performance radial tires, giving the car a powerful stance. Inside, the black vinyl interior has been fully reupholstered and features Pro Touring II bucket seats, Vintage Air, Ididit tilt column with Grant wheel, AM/FM sound system, fold-down rear seat with new hardware, and all-new weatherstripping. Additional upgrades include a new center console, dash pad, carpeting, headliner, a carbon-fiber-look gauge pod with AutoMeter gauges, billet pedals, and chrome door striker plates, providing both style and function. Originally a C-code car with a 289ci Windsor engine, this Mustang now features a balanced and blueprinted 302ci HO motor with extensive performance upgrades, including Eagle forged crank, Trick Flow flat-top pistons, Twisted Wedge 170cc heads, CompCam hydraulic roller cam, Speedmaster 8-stack intake manifold with Fast EZ-2.0 EFI, MSD ignition, Raptor serpentine system, aluminum radiator, Milodon 8-qt oil pan, tube headers, and Flowmaster exhaust. The engine bay is meticulously detailed with Edelbrock and chrome accessories, Scott Drake alloy hood hinge components, and shock tower caps and brace.
