The Triumph GT6 is a 6-cylinder sports coupe that was built by Standard-Triumph and based on their popular Triumph Spitfire convertible from 1966-1973. In early 1963, Standard-Triumph commissioned Giovanni Michelotti (notable for designing many models including several for Ferrari & Maserati) to design a GT version of the new Spitfire line. The fastback design was too heavy for the 1147cc output, and the model was shelved.
