Released in 1962 to replace the Willys Station Wagon, the Wagoneer was one of the first of what would become the modern SUV as we know it today. Offering exceptional comfort, it was more car-like than its utilitarian predecessor, but nonetheless offered users serious off-road prowess. Power comes from a 5.9-liter V8 engine, which produces approximately 144 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Output is directed to the rear or all four wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
